American Airlines has a plan for first class meals. They are going to be smaller, with fewer items heated. And expect the bread to be served room temperature, though I’m not sure how they expect you to spread butter on rolls that haven’t been warmed. That’s according to explanations that were given to employees at question and answer sessions held last week by airline President Robert Isom, recordings of which were reviewed by View From The Wing.

Forget Free Flights, In Britain They Redeem Miles For Sausage Rolls
The introduction of ‘Virgin Red’ branding and add-ons to Virgin Flying Club means that Virgin’s miles can be used in new ways – like spending 200 miles for a sausage roll. At least they admit it’s not a good deal,
Planning Vacations Is More Fun Than Actually Traveling
Happiness from vacation wears off quickly once you get back. The middle part of a trip winds up mostly as a blur, it’s the end that counts. You should probably work while you’re on vacation if you want to break up the trip and create more starts and ends and less middle, and avoid doing too many things that you’ve done before while you’re gone.
Hilton Employee Arrested For Recording Women In Hotel’s Restroom
An employee at the Hilton Garden Inn El Paso University Hotel in Texas has been charged with 9 counts of ‘invasive visual recording’ after reportedly using his cell phone to record women in one of the hotel’s restrooms.
According to police the man “planted a hidden camera in a public restroom and recorded multiple women using the facilities” on February 21. The man, said to have previously been in prison for “hitting a woman over the head with a hammer,” was held on $45,000 bond.
4 American Airlines Passengers Had Their First Class Seats Taken Away – And Given To Employees
Last week four American Airlines passengers were downgraded on a flight from Charlotte to Honolulu because they ‘arrived at the gate too late’ even though they were there 25 minutes prior to departure. Their seats were given to employees or relatives or employees to enjoy instead.
The gate agent who did it was wrong, but there’s a confusing rule that should be clarified.
Will Customers Redeeming Miles Create A Crisis For Those Trying To Pay Cash?

This is literally insane.

Delta Will Require Employees To Get Vaccinated Before They Start Work
Delta announced that all new employees will have to be vaccinated against Covid-19, but isn’t saying there will be any requirement for current employees to get a shot.
They suggest this is a great way to protect their already-high level of vaccination within the workforce and to protect customers, but they also make an odd claim about herd immunity in the process.
Florida Woman Asked To Remove Her Wig At TSA Checkpoint, Hilarity Ensues
A Fort Lauderdale woman was heading home from a weekend trip in Houston when she – and her wig – encountered the TSA. She was asked to remove her cap, but the cap was attached to the wing. And she dubbed the ensuing video “When TSA stops you from being fabulous.” Oh, and the cap says “Bad Hair Day” on it.
