Orlando International Airport’s new terminal C has only been open for about six weeks. The new Plaza Premium lounge in the terminal is now open, and it looks fantastic.
Plaza Premium lounges can be accessed with American Express Platinum and Centurion cards and Capital One Venture X cards can access the lounge, too. It’s also available as a pay-in.
An anonymous reader shares photos and details of the new lounge, on the second floor of the terminal, post-security overlooking the palm court. It appears far nicer than the Priority Pass-accessible ‘The Club’ lounge and reports are of “[s]weet, enthusiastic, and professional employees.” My reader concludes “[t]his is one of the best independent lounges in the U.S.”
Food is a surprising high point for an independent lounge, and they’ve branded it with local celebrity chef Roberto Treviño.
Hot items included jasmine rice, grilled vegetables, pasta primavera, beef with mushroom demi glace, and New England clam chowder.
My reader shares, “I had a big brunch so I wasn’t hungry enough to try the beef” but couldn’t resist the dessert, “I had three key lime pies and one creme brûlée.”
Though I actually found this grab and go fridge perhaps the most impressive – something we’re seeing more of. Historically the drive has been to limit food costs by preventing passengers from taking things with them, but we’re now seeing more lounges that encourage it. People stay for less time, and that lets the lounge handle more passengers (for a credit card swipe/pay-in lounge that means more revenue, and perhaps lower alcohol cost).
There’s a kids area, five individual gender-neutral bathrooms, and three showers.
Terminal C serves Aer Lingus; Azul; British Airways; Caribbean Airlines; Emirates; Eurowings; Gol; Icelandair; JetBlue; Norse Atlantic and Sunwing.
Nice job “Plaza Premium.” A warm, inviting decor and nice amenities
Good to see the third world airport is getting an upgrade.
And they have Centurion Lounge “covid excuse” hours too!
Good job, Gary. An informative post without politicizing BS. See, you can still do it!
The Orlando Plaza Premium lounge has been open for six weeks, but Plaza Premium has not listed this lounge on its website as of November 6, 2022. https://www.plazapremiumlounge.com/en-uk/discover/access-with-bank-cards-and-travel-passes#
@Ken A – the terminal has been open for six weeks, but the lounge has not been
Beautiful space. I would love to see more Plaza Premium in the US. Also, chowder in hot Florida?
Looks nice. Hope it stays this way
weird they installed a used coke machine… get a brand new one with all the new features, Plaza Premium!
I wonder is it included for business class passengers who do not have the American credit cards listed above?
If I am taking Southwest at A or B can I access the new lounge by taking train or bus to C? Or I can only access it by taking a flight and getting through the security check at C?
This is NOT accurate. Was just there and not good. Read Trip Advisor.
