The Park Hyatt Hyderabad is pricing its premium suites at the same rate as base rooms for stays December 10 through March 16. I see it for $138++ for a long weekend in February, for instance.

Here’s how the Presidential Suite is described:
Expansive and luxurious 225-sq-metre suite has a breath-taking view of Hyderabad’s vibrancy and ever changing skyline. Clean modern decor offers an abundance of natural light amid hand-laid walnut wooden flooring and white marble tiles. The spa-inspired bath features exterior city view along with soaking bath tub and over-sized rain shower, plus a 17-inch TV. The high-tech media hub boasts a 55-inch LCD TV, with an additional 46-inch LCD TV in the bedroom. The private dining areas seats 8. In-room breakfast, wireless Internet and airport limousine transfers come as special courtesies.
A base room here for a long weekend in February runs US$138++ per night. (Note, I’ve told Hyatt to display rates in US Dollars, which you can do on the results page.)
Here’s what the suites cost at the regular rate for the same nights:
But if you select “The Places You Can Explore” rate:
You’ll see premium suites for the same rate as the base room.
Of course I wouldn’t book additional travel right away. These are prepaid, non-refundable rates but I’d still wait to see whether the hotel has seller’s remorse over such a great deal. (Of course, the Hyatt Regency Paris has been really good about honoring such deals.)
An additional caveat is that I might budget for an additional $60 in taxes per night.
Here’s the breakdown of a long weekend trip I priced:
You’ll see a 5% luxury tax. However my understanding is that state law requires the luxury tax to be collected on 5% of rack rate. I’d assume 5% of $1686, or $84.30 per night in tax for the Presidential Suite, rather than $27.58.

Who pays for taxes when using the two free nights on Hyatt card
Gary I would like to see you visit hyderbad to make use of cheap room rates there. Do it!
I’d jump on this deal if I were already going there, but I wouldn’t go there just because of it.
mistake is over
Damn. I live in Hyderabad and do frequent staycations at the PH. Next time.
Wait – it’s still there, it’s just that some of the suites are sold out some nights. I might have to do this.
i dont see on anyday in feb 🙁
Just got a note from management and they are not honoring the rate. They are offering a one room upgrade instead. Working on getting my money back
Are they offering any points compensation for not honoring the booking
