Singapore Airlines Brings Back First Class Service Starting In June

There’s a future for international first class, and it’s sooner than many had thought. Singapore Airlines had zeroed out first class from sale through March 2022, but now they’re bringing it back in June.

Singapore Airlines had stopped selling first class last year because it wasn’t clear which routes would see a plane that offers a Suites or First Class cabin again, and when.

However as the airline ramps up its flying it is bringing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft back into rotation. The plane offers a first class cabin, and they’re selling first class starting in June between Singapore and Sydney, Hong Kong, and Jakarta. (HT: Milelion)

Suites are still not available because Singapore’s A380s remain grounded, but they’re expected to return to service as A380s are being converted to the airline’s new interiors.

Moreover Singapore plans to open new a new Private Room first class lounge later this year.

Singapore Airlines is also expected to debut a new first class product on Boeing 777X aircraft when those are delivered.

For now though most long haul routes remain operated by Airbus A350 aircraft with business class as the top cabin.

  1. I just looked at F avail out of LAX-SIN and it looks like it is currently returning April 1st 2022. Hopefully that date will pull forward as well. They have limited saver availability, though most is Advantage for a thrifty 222,000 miles one way!

  2. @Brodie – If you found two SQ saver first class seats available from the US to Asia, don’t ever play the lottery because you’ve used up your lifetime supply of luck.

  3. @Christian, no doubt. I have only ever found a single one and waitlisted the second. And the three times I went the route the second cleared. That in itself is lucky.

  4. @Brodie – Great to know. If you don’t mind my asking, how far out did you book and how far out was the waitlist confirmed?

  5. It will be good enabling to travel First class to and fro Mumbai – Sydney
