Stack Discounts and a New Sale to Get British Airways First Class from $2100 Roundtrip (and Business for Less)

British Airways is running a sale on premium cabin travel. Prices are even dropped further for Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years travel. The sale runs through May 12.

Our business class sale is available to select European cities: Athens, Barcelona, Birmingham, Madrid, and Manchester. Sale fares are also available on American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia Airlines. For 3 days only, First is on sale too, from select US cities. Simply search for your destination, cabin and dates using the Create a trip tool on the left of this page.

Hurry, it’s available for 3 days only, until May 12.

Thanksgiving and Christmas sale dates: November 22-29 and December 18-January 2.
Other sale dates: June 20-March 31

Here’s the ‘normal’ business class sale prices to and from London for holiday travel. Prices outside the holiday period are $300-$500 more roundtrip depending on route. First class is available for a few hundred more as well.

Here’s my recent review of British Airways first class, Austin – London Heathrow and my review of British Airways business class, London Heathrow – Austin.

British Airways First Class

As usual, the sale is stackable with the $400 AARP premium cabin discount and with the 10% Chase discount.

In fact, the sale plus two discounts brings down roundtrip first class transatlantic travel to as low as $2108.70.

Here are the two discounts:

  1. You have to be an AARP member and log into your account, this discount is why I pay my $12.50 to be an Associate (‘under 50’) member. Go through the AARP portal, then book your tickets, the premium cabin sale pricing will come up with the appropriate AARP discount embedded.

  2. Eligible Chase credit card holders can use promo code CARDOFFERU from the co-brand Visa to take 10% off.

When searching for space you’ll see results like this:

You can book business class for $1658.70.

Note that the Chase discount won’t apply to Aer Lingus flights if you should choose one of those.

  1. Hmmmm, new issue for me, says “Error Obtaining Price Quote” every single time… broken for anyone else?

  2. @Paul – I’m getting the same error message when I try to book from MCI. Works fine when I look at flights from ORD or DFW. I ran into similar issue on a BA sale last year. The US domestic connecting flights screwed up their system, and you were only able to book out of a hub.
