DFW Airport Now Has Same-Day PCR Testing And Rapid Tests In Multiple Locations

The people who run Priority Pass and The Club lounges also now provide Covid-19 testing at Dallas Fort-Worth airport. Collinson offers rapid tests and PCR tests, and for a premium will even turn around PCR tests same day (though it takes longer than just a layover). They tell me they have “applied to be a Trusted Partner with Hawaii and anticipates approval in June.”

American Airlines Is Borrowing DFW Airport’s Balance Sheet To Load Up On More Debt

Two new American Airlines projects at Dallas-Fort Worth airport, put on hold during the pandemic, are getting the green light: $100 million apiece for a new flight kitchen and parts warehouse. The current kitchen is too small, and blamed for 2300 flight delays in 2019.

Most striking about the story is that the airport says American is borrowing on its balance sheet because of the airline’s high cost to add additional debt on its own.

American Airlines is Going to Break 1000 Departures at DFW Airport – For One Day Only

This summer American Airlines gained access to 15 new gates in terminal E satellite at Dallas Fort-Worth airport. That’s the biggest change that allowed them to grow from 800 flights a day to 900 flights. They had to make huge changes to their operation to accommodate this growth.

For one day though the airline is going to grow to 1000 departures at Dallas Fort-Worth.
