The busiest international airports by seat capacity in the world right now are all in the Mideast: Dubai, followed by Doha and then Istanbul. All of the world’s top international airports have seen an increase in seats offered this week compared to last week.

The top 20 international airport whose international seat capacity has dropped the least year-over-year is Cancun. North America close-in leisure travel to warm weather destinations has fared relatively best during the pandemic.

In this video shared to social media, women can be seem arrested at baggage claim in the Miami airport. They’re dragged out as they futilely resist the officers and the younger woman screams that “it hurts.” One woman announces that she has four children. A concerned onlooker worries about the kids, but the officer responds confidently that he has experience performing arrests where children are involved.

According to reports in social media a mother and daughter assaulted a flight attendant on their trip to Miami.

American Airlines Made This Man Change His Shirt Or He Couldn’t Fly

Jemima Aladin flew American Airlines out of Miami, and captured a man being brought up to the front lavatory to change his shirt, or else he wouldn’t be able to fly.

What makes Miami surprising is that it’s the type of market the ‘old Southwest’ would never have entered. They already have a huge operation in Fort Lauderdale, and a smaller one at West Palm Beach and while they aren’t exactly the same markets there’s huge overlap. Southwest always favored the less expensive airports, and avoided congested business hubs.

Miami is one of the more expensive airports to operate from in the U.S. This was, if not an explicit policy of pre-merger American Airlines to drive up airport costs, something that their management sat by and was ok with happening – because it chased all the low cost carriers to Fort Lauderdale. That’s changing.

Video shows a Miami airport police officer punching a black woman. She had just yelled at him, “You black, you acting like you’re white but you’re really black. What’re you gonna do?” He claims “she headbutted me” but the video does not appear to support that.

Turkish has opened a lounge on the E concourse at the Miami airport yesterday. It isn’t listed on the Priority Pass website yet however they’re accepting Priority Pass.

American Airlines flight AA1060 from Miami to Newark was delayed about three and a half hours today when a man “ran onto the plane screaming that it was his plane and he’s FBI.”

The Captain made an announcement, going farther than he should have and likely speculating baselessly, that they “think the guy was a decoy to distract from something else.” Everyone was offloaded and passengers and bags were searched.

American just announced details of their Tokyo Haneda flights at the end of last week. They still have an announcement of new routes with Qantas coming up. But right after losing their LATAM partnership they’ve rushed out an announcement of new service to South America, and packaged it with other disparate scheduling moves – perhaps to make it look more robust.

After all, announcing a move by IAG low cost carrier LEVEL makes little sense when that airline isn’t even a partner.
