On Wednesday’s United Airlines Houston – Mexico City flight UA1060, a passenger reported that the man she was sitting next to was adjusting himself. Actress Shalita Grant, known for appearing as Special Agent Sonja Percy in NCIS: New Orleans tweeted her encounter on the flight. And she took video of the alleged deed.
United Airlines is bringing back meals to domestic first class flights over 1500 miles as well as flights between the airline’s hubs that are 800 miles or more. There will be a choice of entree, side dish, and a dessert served wrapped on a tray and this will replace the airline’s hot sandwiches and snack boxes.
United is usually among one of the tougher airlines when it comes to finding business class award space on their own flights. It’s notable when that space opens up, and it’s done so just as there’s a lot more interest in crossing the Pond which is great news.
There’s saver award space on United’s transatlantic flights for four or more passengers both for summer and for the start of 2022.
United MileagePlus began as Mileage Plus with a space between the two words in May, 1981 – days after American AAdvantage launched the first mileage-based airline program offering free flights. Learning that American AAdvantage was about to announce its program, United pulled off the launch of Mileage Plus in just 10 days.

United will let elite members earn 25% of their status requirements with 3 trips, or members can choose a bonus of 10% of their status requirements or bonus miles instead. That’s on top of the 25% credit towards status United has already given.
While some people will earn elite status this year, 2021 is mostly a wash out for an airline’s best customers. And that means airlines need to take steps to extend status again and start over next year or they’ll risk pushing these members into free agency.

As American Airlines removes the very last of its seat back video screens on Boeing 737 aircraft United Airlines has shared internally that it will go in the opposite direction.
United was already adding seat back video screens to new Boeing 737s and now will retrofit older aircraft so that passengers have screens at their seats, according to an internal video shared with employees.

They don’t, however, appear to be ready to prioritize elite upgrades based on disadvantaged status.
