News and notes from around the interweb:
- Boeing will re-start 787 deliveries this week
- Lufthansa Flight Crew Told Passengers to Delete Photos After ‘Severe Turbulence’ The Austin – Frankfurt flight that made an emergency landing, with several people being hospitalized, had multiple announcements to delete recordings. Most take this as an attempt to hide evidence of what happened, but I assume it was more the very German take on privacy where photographing people in public is not acceptable.
My wife was on that flight she sent this pic This is what the inside looked like food everywhere, people who didn't have the seat belts fastened got hurt mostly cause it came as surprise without seat belt sign on and lighting hit the plane badly went 1k ft down & up pilot said pic.twitter.com/NJi2JC6shk

- How did I miss this?
- Canadian Supreme Court Judge under investigation for drunken brawl at U.S. resort (HT: @crucker)
- Southwest flights have a much higher chance of this than pretty much any other airline. In fact figuring out why this never happens on other carriers, but happens at least every few days on a Southwest flight is an interesting look at company culture.
Such a gentle gesture on a @SouthwestAir flight from LA to San Antonio yesterday. The flight attendant asked us to close our windows, turn on our overhead lights, and sing “Happy Birthday” to this eleven year old. We need more acts of fun and kindness like this. #Southwest pic.twitter.com/mgCrKGM74v

AA is my choice airline however, on last week’s flight from PHL to IAH duck tape held up rubber stripping on the ceiling in front of me and I noticed several pieces of silver take above the engine casing. It seems the plane is due for restoration.
So much for getting some work done on that Lufthansa flight.
Laptops become deadly projectiles.
And if you were standing up facing backwards to get some work done?
They’re now peeling you off the ceiling…..
@CW just imagine what you can’t see
Hold onto your seat when the floor disintegrates underneath you
Hopefully the AA catering will go with it too into a free-fall
