  1. Since lounge access has been credit card driven I’ve seen people essentially set up a camp site in the lounge. Dogs barking. Juvenile delinquents running amuck while parents are getting totaled at the bar. People listing to something on their phone or video calls with headphones.

All the boorish behavior you see at the gate can now be seen at the clubs, including the premium lounges.

  2. lounges might not be refugee camps, but the clientele is certainly tending toward the homeless. ..And then you’re stuck on a plane with them for hours,,,,

  3. Oh my gosh, a quick look at that new CRJ, and all I can think is: time to start gate checking carryons.

  4. Ohh the anger… this guy just handed you an easy article submission that hits your audience rage click – not sure you’re the right person to be so angry about this.

  5. I’m just coming from breakfast here at a Hilton in LAX . Same trashy people, some kids, same lack of consideration. Who else hates traveling these days?

  6. A refugee camp? What is this… the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown?!

Seriously, though, some folks have no class (or care). Then, there are some airports, like SJU, which have two lame lounges that are always packed to the brim. Avoid if you can!

  7. It’s tough to say which is more shameful: United trying to foist off a wretched contract proposal off on FA’s or the FA union trying to paint getting screwed pretty royally in a number of ways in the new contract offer not meaning much and calling it a win. If that’s winning, beware of losing.

  8. Iberia should consider PHX, at least for seasonal service. BA/AA twice daily to LHR (once daily during winter) and very high yields and AF service now 5x a week during summer and 3x during the winter, also over 90% yields. With Condor out of the picture and the high Spanish heritage and retirees of the population , a flight to Madrid and beyond would be awesome (plus the Madrid airport is one of the easiest in Europe to transfer IMO. If we can make Taiwan work 3x a week, then more Europe and Toyoko is surely needed for a city of 5.5 million and growing.
