An Air Force combat pilot hired by United Airlines was arrested for DUI, refused to enter the airline-mandated alcohol-rehab program, lost his medical clearance—and was fired. Now he’s suing United, claiming discrimination, retaliation and defamation because the company wouldn’t let him back in the cockpit after he rejected treatment.
