Act Fast: Free Unlimited $99 Alaska Airlines Companion Tickets, Without Paying $99

Alaska Airlines is known for its $99 companion tickets. This is one of the best benefits of its co-brand credit card. But they’ve also used companion ticket offers to spur sales. During the pandemic it’s been a go-to strategy for the Seattle-based carrier (such as here and here). They even toyed with it before the pandemic.

Most airline sales aren’t really sales, but this is legit. Alaska Airlines is running a ‘buy one, get one’ sale (in other words, 50% off on purchase of two tickets). Book travel by Monday, September 20 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time:

  • Second passenger costs just taxes and fees with discount count code BOGOTIME

  • Travel permitted October 5 – December 15, 2021 to all Alaska Airlines destinations except Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

  • Day of travel restrictions:

    • Travel to Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, or Belize: Sundays through Wednesdays
    • Travel from Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica or Belize: Tuesdays through Fridays
    • All other travel: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays

Other days of the week, and first class, get a 10% discount with this promo code.

  • Blackout Dates: November 18-29, 2021.

This strikes me as a genuinely good deal if you’re traveling with someone in and out of Alaska Airlines cities – best if you can make the date restrictions work, but still good for a real 10% off even Alaska Airlines first class (they’re doing a really nice job with meal service now).
