News and notes from around the interweb:
- Orlando airport is adding a prayer room ahead of Emirates’ inaugural flight to Dubai. I rarely see prayer rooms in use in US airports. I’ve always thought having a reflective space for anyone to go during travel was a special idea that no one – myself included – really avails themselves of. I don’t see them much used in Dallas, with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha service. Although of course they’re always in heavy use in countries with large Muslim populations.
- The TSA is getting a new headquarters. It’s a building that’s been vacant since 2005 since Army Materiel Command moved out and even since 2009 when it completed refurbishment. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Van Dorn metro in a mostly industrial area. And it took 18 months for GSA to pick the building.
- If Ryanair ran a pub…
- Watch an Eagle as it Punches a Drone Out of the Sky
Don’t mess with Mama bird, you can see the Eagle taking off from the tree…
I hope the eagle was not hurt. If it was a pigeon, no chance to evade.
