American Airlines Is Discounting Its Airport Concierge Service And Making It Available To More Passengers

In addition to re-opening more Admirals Clubs American Airlines is making its paid premium airport concierge service available to more passengers, at a lower price: parties of 3 or more receive a 50% discount on their booking.

This service gets you airport meet and greet and escort through security, to the lounge and from there to the gate (there’s also service for connections and on arrival). It includes Admirals Club access, priority boarding, and assistance with flight re-accommodation during irregular operations.

Five Star Service normally costs:

  • $350 for the first adult
  • $100 each additional adult
  • $50 each child 17 and under

A party of two adults and a child would normally run $500, but with this promotion will cost $250.

Over the summer American Airlines began letting you letting you redeem miles for Five Star Service at a value of 1 cent per mile. Parties of 3 receive 50% off the cash price, so also receive 50% off in miles too.

Normally Five Star Service requires you to be flying at least one segment in a premium cabin in order to make the purchase. With this promotion, that runs November 20, 2020 through January 10, 2021, there’s no cabin restriction for purchasing Five Star.

The promotion is available at:

Austin New York JFK
Boston New York LaGuardia
Charlotte Philadelphia
Chicago O’Hare Phoenix
Dallas Fort-Worth San Francisco
Los Angeles Washington National
Miami

LAX Flagship Check-in

Domestic cities normally offering offering 5 star, but where it’s unavailable with this offer, are Atlanta, Nashville and Newark. American tells me this is due to “staffing limitations” though I note that Admirals Clubs in Atlanta and Newark remain closed as well.

Only the base Five Star service is currently available. The additional premium offerings launched last year – like access to Flagship lounge and Flagship dining, tarmac transfers and use of the LAX Private Suite terminal are not currently available.

  1. For $450 one time amount I get a 1 time Club access, priority check in, priority boarding? If I have TSA precheck and Executive Citibank card then I get this for the entire year for the same price. NOT WORTH IT.
