News and notes from around the interweb:
- American is leasing slots at London Heathrow from Etihad remember when they hated each other?
- New Air China A350 interior, relevant because they are a Star Alliance member and China has re-opened.
Air China’s second A350 version – I’ve seen some negative comments about Chinese airlines being behind, but many positives in this cabin & overall improvement.
Console pattern interesting – but busy? Tray table has rose gold 👌 trim? Lav seems incongruous with rest of design. pic.twitter.com/ai0S0aLBCu

- Breeze Airways is getting killed.
These @BreezeAirways numbers are just horrible. Based on the public data that I can see, I think @AveloAir is winning this battle. pic.twitter.com/0A975ookal

- Also from Marty St. George, Former JetBlue Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, on David Neeleman:
PS talk about fate; I guarantee that, absent Breeze, David would have already raised enough money to take JetBlue private. Fate, man…

- “Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain is suing longtime bandmate Neal Schon for allegedly spending over $1 million on the band’s shared American Express card, including $400,000 in a single month last year.”
- As Covid precaution it’s maybe weird to focus on surfaces at this point, but more generally if you want a clean area you’re going to have to provide it for yourself. Do you stick your hand into the seat back pocket?

After booking Breeze trips twice this past year and both trips being canceled by Breeze long in advance, I do not believe I will try for the trifecta of Breeze cancelations in the future….
Why is it a ‘battle’ between Avelo and Breeze? Entirely different target fliers and not much route overlap.
I would have said Avelo would be the ‘easier’ model to ramp, and Breeze would take longer, but comparing them doesn’t make a lot of sense.
