- Hawaii accepted a family’s test results for avoiding quarantine, they flew to the islands, then had their tests rejected on arrival. They flew home the next day. The same tests, by the way, had worked on their trip three months earlier. Hawaii has also rejected perfectly valid tests results, by mistake letting one family know they could leave quarantine after they’d already.. left Hawaii.

- Totally sucking up.
Just got our tests to go home from the Dominican Republic. There is a drive through in Punta Cana though you have to pay the $30 by credit card at a nearby office first. We did this about 30 hours before leaving, which is what the testing people asked for.My wife’s negative results came through in a couple of hours, mine didn’t all day. A Dominican friend checked, somehow my payment wasn’t registered, but she showed them the receipt.. Negative test too. A fretful day, but worked out okay. Moral is to keep an eye on when results are supposed to be posted, and don’t cut things closer than this.
Don’t get how countries in the Caribbean and Mexico, etc. can have cheap $30 tests for folks returning home, but Hawaii can’t figure out a way to test someone on the islands who shows up with a negative covid test but doesn’t meet their bureaucratic travel partner list. True insanity. We’re a gd year into this mess.
Why are people actually getting these overpriced tests? Go on the internet and $5 later, you have the test results needed immediately. It never ceases to amaze me the crap people put themselves through.

@AlliW David Purdue is not referring to a $5 test. He is referring to a $5 test result. In other words a fraudulent document.
