IHG Rewards Club launched a new top tier elite level with a silly name and a new membership card.
On the back of the card is a new phone number, dedicated to top tier elites. Only they printed the wrong number on the card. Not only that — of course it worked out this way — it was the number to a sex chat line.
So everyone gets a new card, and they’re asking members to cut up the old cards.
In the interest of journalism, I had to call the (1-800 instead of 1-844) number. I was greeted by “America’s Hottest Talk Line” —
- Guys, hot ladies are waiting to talk to you!
The menu tree was different than I expected. Instead of “Please enter your 9-digit IHG Rewards Club number” I was given:
- Ladies, press 1 now
- Guys press 2 now
In the spirit of Whitehouse.com I wondered whether IHGSpireElite.com redirected to sex talk as well. Turns out that domain is unregistered . . .

Here I was thinking this was the greatest unpublished benefit ever.
It couldn’t be the tractor supply wholesaler or computer sales support line. It “had” to be a sex line. Nice. Maybe they sent out the politicians version of the card to everyone 🙂
now lets see How long until someone registre the .com demain for a sex site 😉
