Have Loyalty Programs Gotten Lazy? They Could Make More Money and Benefit Members at the Same Time
Mark Ross-Smith, who until recently was head of the Malaysia Airlines frequent flyer program, is chock full of insights. He lays out a number of things that most frequent flyer programs aren’t doing, costing them real money, because they’ve gotten lazy — focused on little besides the revenue stream they’re earning from co-brand credit card deals.
How to Score Free Bottled Water at Hotels
The gym is always a go-to source for me. And when a hotel does provide free bottled water in the room I’ll usually hide any bottles I haven’t consumed in my luggage in case the hotel brings more. I wouldn’t want them to think I was already stocked.
In much of the world you can drink the tap water though whenever I’m uncertain I avoid it. I’d rather drink filtered water (hopefully they change the filters) and I want to use my own or a hotel-gifted bottle, not the hotel’s glasses in the bathroom which may or may not be clean.

You can fly non-stop between the U.S. and Singapore in premium economy for just $890 roundtrip. That’s an incredible fare in my opinion. In fact coach is often more expensive than that.
This is available on Singapore’s non-stop Los Angeles – Singapore service, which offers just premium economy and business class. Book by April 11 for outbound travel April 1 – June 9, or after July 16. Your trip must be complete by November 30 and last at least 7 days.

Hundreds of Hotel Guests Secretly Taped in Their Rooms, Livestreamed on Pay-Per-View Website
In December I wrote about a woman suing Hilton claiming a hotel employee videotaped her in the shower and used the photos to blackmail her. I’ve written about plenty of cases of video surreptitiously hidden in hotel rooms and also inside of Airbnb accommodations.
Now there’s any case being reported of a paid subcription website where viewers could watch hotel guests being secretly taped in South Korean hotel rooms.
