249 Hotel Nights Later: How Marriott, Hyatt and IHG Get It Wrong

Dec 16 2022

An anonymous reader captures something in a guest post that I think is important, based on some pretty extensive experience on the road. Hyatt is great if you can stick to full service properties not owned or managed by bad actors, but there aren’t enough properties and too many limited service ones. So where you going to go? Air France KLM Introduces New Award Chart, Free Stopovers

Dec 07 2022

I still see Flying Blue as the most useful SkyTeam program, with better award availability on Air France and KLM for their own members than is offered to partners and mostly reasonable pricing when saver inventory is available. The addition of free stopovers on one way awards is great, and modest pricing and region adjustments are things most will be able to live with.

Dec 05 2022

A passenger on a train in China reclined their seat without telling the person behind them they were going to do so. The seat reclined into the passenger’s laptop, damaging the screen. That passenger sued – and won $475.

This is actually not all that uncommon, for instance here’s a cracked screen from a reclining seat in Delta Air Lines economy.
