Snack Basket Will Return To American Airlines First Class On June 1

Beverages and snacks are returning to coach on June 1 but that’s not the only change to inflight service on American Airlines starting June 1.

American will be bringing back first class snack baskets at that time, too.

It’s worth nothing that American Airlines continued to serve drinks in first class (‘on request’ rather than offered) throughout the pandemic, while some other carriers like Delta largely stopped doing so. Proactive drink service has returned up front.

In addition pre-order special meals are available in business and first class again for New York JFK – Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Here’s what was in the domestic first class snack basket before the pandemic.

  1. I think the signal the pandemic is over is when warm nuts are again served by American Airlines,

  2. Call me confused. Recent trip in J to Antigua provided a nice lunch with alcoholic beverages. Nothing close to “snacks”. In fact the FA was “over the top” with service. Return was exactly the same.

  3. So when will they be reopening the Flagship Lounges and Flagship dining???

  4. When will prepared drinks return? Like the picture above, I got two bottles of vodka, a cup of ice and a can of Bloody Mary Mix. I just want a GLASS with a Bloody Mary in it.

  5. What’s the difference between “fresh snacks” and the snack basket? Was one actually “fresh” and the other nothing but packaged sodium?
