On Tuesday a woman on a Spirit Airlines flight couldn’t wait to smoke until she got out of the airport. She couldn’t even wait until she’d gotten out of the plane. So while her aircraft taxied to its gate in Fort Lauderdale she lit up at her seat. Of course this happened on a Spirit Airlines flight. In Fort Lauderdale.
Two women were removed from an American Airlines flight from Fort Lauderdale to Chicago. You can see them walking away from the gate, with masks covering their mouths but not their noses. They’re escorted by an officer. Despite the presence of law enforcement, one of the women has words with a passenger waiting in the gate area – and it turns into a brawl, with the officer trying to stop the fight by grabbing at the shirt of one of the women.
Three Spirit Airlines passengers were arrested for attacking three of the carrier’s employees during a delay of Spirit flight WN1004 from Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia on Tuesday. The employees all “suffered minor injuries” after the three passengers in the gate area hit staff with “phones, shoes, full water bottles, metal boarding signs and fast food.”
The employees “were also punched and kicked in different sections of their bodies numerous times” according to Sheriff’s department arrest documents. Here’s video of it all going down:
225 flights were delayed and 18 cancelled at the Fort Lauderdale airport were delayed yesterday when a tornado touched down on the northwest part of the airport.
The tornado shut down a runway around 4:30 p.m. and “blew luggage trolleys into the airfield.” Here’s video.
