Via God Save the Points you can fly non-stop between the U.S. and Singapore in premium economy for just $890 roundtrip. That’s an incredible fare in my opinion. In fact coach is often more expensive than that.
This is available on Singapore’s non-stop Los Angeles – Singapore service, which offers just premium economy and business class. Book by April 11 for outbound travel April 1 – June 9, or after July 16. Your trip must be complete by November 30 and last at least 7 days.
Premium economy passengers receive noise-cancelling headphones. There’s seat power, USB ports, and designated storage for water bottle, mobile phone and laptop. It’s similar to a domestic US first class seat plus foot rests and a 13.3 inch screen. I like the aisle seats because the armrest retracts with the touch of a button to become flush with the seat bottom so you get a greater sense of spaciousness.
And of course they offer champagne in premium economy, plus book the cook pre-order meal selection.
Singapore Airlines R fares earn 100% of flown miles when credited to most of their partners, such as to United’s MileagePlus where you’ll earn 17,539 miles.
This is a great way to see Singapore and if you take advantage of this sale don’t just view it as a stopover enroute to other destinations in Asia — it’s a great fare to a great place, spend some time there especially in the Hawker centers.
How easy is it to UG on these flights us Kris Flyer Miles? Possible at booking or is it always waitlist?
SQ (R) fares are not upgradeable with Krisflyer miles.
It must certainly be better than an economy seat; however, is it similar to the direct flight from EWR to SIN? If so, there are no economy seats on that plane—only premium economy and business class.
Any search engines showing more availability then Google Flights? Not coming up easy for LAX-SIN PE.
Grabbed 4 tickets for mid-November, Google Flights > Orbitz
@Henry, what are you saying? that it’s not that great of a seat?
I am sure PE sales are slow. Business travelers using OPM want business class and most leisure travelers opt for the lowest economy fares. The PE product just is not good enough to justify a major premium – many of us can’t sleep in those seats upright nor do we want to be sitting there for 15 hours. It works for domestic flights but not overnight.
Premium economy option looks great . Thanks for the article
@henry i mention that in the post, that there is no economy cabin on this aircraft
@Kevin that’s correct
Where do we book the flts ? On SIA website or what.
And if I fly from another US cities to connect the flt how does the fare works. I know I have to pay for the domestic sector but is it consider international all the way ??
Thanks
does that nonstop trip to Singapore for $900 also include hotel and rental vehicle?
