Delta has ghosted many of its top elites during the pandemic letting the phone go to voicemail. Voicemail after four rings, they’re not there. After two rings they didn’t want to talk to you.
Nonetheless, the airline does treat some customers like royalty. A couple of years ago they crowned one lucky passenger the Biscoff Queen. Now they’ve officially crowned one young passenger “The Princess of Delta.”
The young girl has been battling a rare soft tissue cancer for a year. She and her family flew Delta to Orlando. It was her first-ever flight. She got to visit the cockpit, had a celebration at her seat. And she was crowned at the gate. Now that she’s in remission she’ll probably be a loyal Delta customer for years to come.
Little Delta flyer AnnaBlair (AKA AB) and her parents were headed to Orlando for a magical family vacation. When they touched down, the Smiths were completely caught off guard by the surprises in store for them. Open this thread to read AB's story 👇 pic.twitter.com/hIP3f3OoZr

AB has been battling Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer, since January 2021. When our Orlando team heard this would be her first flight ever, they knew they had to make it even more memorable. (2/5) pic.twitter.com/4wRa1UnioY

The team quickly pulled together a plan to give AnnaBlair the full royal treatment. From a special visit in the cockpit to a warm welcome at the gate, AB and her family received a multitude of surprises as they made their way to and from MCO. (3/5) pic.twitter.com/jakFQw1ktl

I’ll just add that it feels good to do good things and we should all strive to make a small difference in people’s lives whenever we can. Although not always with a crown. A passenger with a crown on American or JetBlue has a whole different meaning, of course.
Nice.
Sweet!
I’m happy to see Delta cockpit crew and staff always roll our the red carpet for special occasions to include military funeral escorts. They are a professional and conscietious group, always.
