On Thursday night’s JetBlue flight 354, a redeye from Ontario, California to New York JFK, a cat got loose. The pet in cabin got out of its carrier and ran loose on the aircraft. A flight attendant grabbed it and went looking for its owner.
A passenger snapped this photo and it’s priceless: the look on the flight attendant’s face like, “someone had better claim this cat quickly. They aren’t paying me enough for this.” And look at the blond passenger on the left. Her amusement knows no bounds.
On last night’s @JetBlue flight, ONT-JFK: “Is anyone missing a CAT. A grey-and-white CAT.” Yes I woke up for this. pic.twitter.com/XE5ywPM9x7

Later: “that cat was HEAVY.”

Redeye flights bring out the strangest passenger behavior. Everyone is exhausted. Sure, some people are there because it’s the only flight option (this is JetBlue’s only flight between the two cities), while others choose it because it’s cheaper – the airline may be operating for better aircraft utilization rather than high yields.
A cat on a plane, though, is perfect – for everyone that isn’t allergic – but mostly for everyone following along in social media. Because cats! And puns!
Please observe as Golden goes over the safety demonstration. In case of low cabin cuddles, a cat will drop from the ceiling above you. Please secure your lap cat before helping others…

If nothing else the passengers got a story for when they landed and whomever they saw first asked the obligatory, “how was your flight?”
That’s a very fat cat….I think he’s eaten one too many inflight meals!!
Get him the eff out. These are snakes with fur.
A purrfect ending to an otherwise normal flight.
It’s heartwarming to see the dedication of this flight attendant in trying to reunite the lost cat with its owner. Losing a pet during travel can be a traumatic experience, and the efforts made to locate the owner are truly commendable. Hopefully, the cat and its owner will be happily reunited soon
What a waste of time for those passengers. That filthy cat should have had its back legs broken to keep it from crawling around and finding trouble, and scalding water thrown at it as a deterrent.
So long as it doesn’t get into anything vital and cause a catastrophe!
Cats on my flights sounds purrfect to me!
The cat behaved much better than many human passengers.
Half the respondent’s just failed their interview and will have to go down with the ship. It you don’t have compassion for animals, and this one is remarkably calm (in this picture with all these people at least). How can you get along with people? Can’t come in my lifeboat. I’ll take the cat if you didn’t find the owner
Uh, just look for the passenger with a pet carrier? Shouldn’t be that difficult. Judging by the cats size, the pet carrier wouldn’t be under a seat and would be visible…..
Who ever that Brad dude is he’s a real jerk. Somebody needs yo do to him everything he said to do to the cat. He’s another thing that’s wrong with this world! What a horrible misable SOB! Crawl in a hole brad!
It sounds like a Catastrophe to me!!!
Brad, who comments that the ‘…cat should have its back legs broken…’ sounds like a psycho. All serial killers start with animal abuse. Hope, if he ever goes beyond bathroom walls looking for a date that he is outed for his suggesting such cruelty toward a animal that is not exhibiting bad behavior.
I agree with everything Brenda C says about Brad’s comment.
Of the 11 respondents only 1 sounded like he needs a beck-up check up. That honor goes to you Brad.
Fresh, the cat accidentally got out of his container and appeared to be well-behaved when the flight attendant walk the isle of the plane looking for its human. I can understand if you are phobic about them. But maybe you could extend a little grace to the owner. I’m sure they did not intend for this to happen.

uggh… @Brad. You’re truly a miserable human being, and I use that term lightly.
You need psychiatric help, pronto!
That Brad guy needs help. ANY ONE that talks like that will eventually end up in prison.where they belong.
That Brad is a sicko. HE IS BOND TO eventualy up in prison for his thoughts will get worse. Cats are wonderful pets.
May everything that Brad wished upon that cat happen to him…
Karma will get you Brad! Sometimes you will get what you wish for others.
