A dog flew Singapore Airlines business class from Sydney to Europe via Singapore. The ex-racing greyhound Lewis “is a graduate of Melbourne-based Greyt Greys Rescue” and his owner moved to Italy. She got permission from the Australian government to leave. And since so few others do, her Singapore Airlines flights were almost empty.
Singapore Airlines will re-start it’s ‘fifth-freedom’ routes between New York and Frankfurt, and between San Francisco and Hong Kong, which each flight continuing on to Singapore. These flights will return beginning November 2. This will mean bringing the airline up to about two-thirds of its pre-Covid U.S. flying, and the airline has re-iterated its plan to restart other U.S. services including Seattle – Singapore non-stop and Houston – Manchester – Singapore as well.
Singapore Airlines flies from Houston to Manchester, U.K. and from there on to Singapore. This is the flight that used to stop in Moscow. Operated by an Airbus A350, award availability is wide open in business class from November through end of schedule.
By the end of next month Singapore Airlines will have restored service to all of the European destinations it plans to fly to. The Singapore flag carrier will serve 15 destinations, not planning to return to Stockholm or Dusseldorf and cancelling planned service to Brussels.
It’s adding a new flight, though, starting to serve travelers within Europe. The carrier will fly Singapore to Copenhagen, and then Copenhagen to Rome.

Current non-status members can earn silver or gold status without ever flying.
These seats are a way to get to and from Europe in business class most days of the year right now. They may be the seats you want anyway for a quality transatlantic business class experience on points. But even if they’re not the most convenient flights for your needs, they’re a way to construct an award when you need it.
A viral video appears to show a passenger on Singapore Airlines capturing a UFO on camera, flying just beneath the wing of the aircraft, as it prepares to land. What’s more the pilot seemingly has to take evasive maneuvers to avoid contact with the craft.
As the video opens it’s just like any video trip report you might find on YouTube. However 30 seconds in the pilot announces everyone must be seated and in brace position. Then the plane banks right as it appears to head in the direction we’ll see the UFO.
