Flight Diverts When Maskless Man Does Lines Of Coke In The Lav, Gropes And Threatens Woman On Board

JetBlue flight 915 from New York JFK to San Francisco diverted to Minneapolis on Sunday after a passenger, who reportedly did lines of cocaine in the aircraft lavatory and made unwanted touching advances towards a woman on board, and made knifing gestures with his hands towards her.

A flight attendant explained what happened to the full load of passengers once they were on the ground at Minneapolis – St. Paul airport, and a View From The Wing reader tweeted video of the explanation to me,

Annoying another passenger and unwanted touching and possibly inadvertent, maybe intention, unknown. Multiple trips to the bathroom. The flight attendants were able to move that passenger so she felt uncomfortable. After several more ‘put on your mask, put on your mask, put on your mask’ bathroom trips started antagonizing other passengers and had the knife gesturing stabbing motions towards the other passenger and was also observed erratic behavior and snorting a white substance.

He was in the bathroom again, the rude activity towards the flight attendants, other passengers, I had mentioned two indicating more than two felt threatened by his abusive language and the actions that I already told you, the viewing of the snorting of the white substance. When he then went to the bathroom right after we were out, picking up his tray and the garbage around his area was discovered a bag with white substance in it. He was taken by the F2 up front.

Once she took it, he was in the bathroom at the time, he returned fearful of what he might do when that was found. Fortunately there was no reaction from him. He remained calm after being told to settle down an to make more threats to other passengers and to flight attendants.

It was collectively decided that all four flight attendants felt uncomfortabel with what was going on. There was a child up there. Other passengers felt uncomfortable. This was the closest place to go, so we as a team made the decision to come here. So that’s what happened.

Basically Hunter S. Thompson laid it out in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers… and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

As inconvenienced as the rest of the passengers were with the delay, they all seemed to understand and applauded the actions of the crew. And their ultimate delay into San Francisco was expected to be just around an hour and forty minutes.

  1. “…a pint of raw ether..” Really? That would be enough to knock out half a small town! Something smells a bit off here ~pun intended~!

  2. I see Matt Gaetz is spending all that “they are trying to get you by getting me” GOP fundraising cash… before he goes to jail.

Guess his young “escorts” didn’t want to fly commercial.

  3. Listen up folks. Here’s the deal. I’ll talk to my son. He really needs to stop doing this.

  4. The big CrApple has been scraping the bottom of the barrel of late in the news dept. A shame when the sad and broken can’t afford to flee and are left defending it.

  5. Probably not a great move for the flight attendant to give that full of a run down to passengers on what happened. Full story isn’t really needed. It’s important to suppress as much information as possible from people. Give them the bare minimum with some extra embellishment to scare them is a much better procedure.
