Forty year old June “Mama June” Shannon has been a fixture of reality TV since 2011 when her daughter “Honey Boo Boo” appeared on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras. They spun off into Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and eventually Mama June: From Not to Hot.
This last show chronicled June’s bariatric surgery and 300 pound weight loss, but it went on hiatus with her arrest for felony drug possession. Her trial, scheduled for this past April, was delayed due to coronavirus. She was a teen mom, has dated child sex offenders. Her show’s new season has been titled Mama June: Family Crisis, so there’s that.
Your Mileage May Vary reports that June Shannon is actually working delivering lost luggage,
Producer: “I heard you’re delivering luggage from airports in the middle of the night.”
June: “It’s not really in the middle of the night. Well, it can be. Say for instance you’re at this airport right here. Say for instance all these b***hes have been snowed in or whatever. And they come to, like, these hotels and they want to know, ‘Where’s my God**** luggage?’ That’s where the companies call us.”
I can genuinely say that I’ve never watched Honey Boo Boo or any of the related reality television shows, but I sure appreciate it when someone delivers my lost luggage. I’m not sure this is who I want having access to luggage though?
Two years ago Delta experimented using gig economy app Roadie to connect lost bags with owners and that seems like a good opportunity for other out of work reality stars like Dustin Diamond.
I don’t suppose “Boo Boo” is slang for Biden? A crack-fueled hobby can lead to anything.
The show was/is an embarrassment to the state of Georgia.
I know another ex-reality show star that would be great for this job, and much better qualified than he is for his current gig….
Honey Boo Boo mom probably stealing the clothes and selling them for meth do not want her touching my luggage or belongings
It’s admirable that she tries to turn her life around, and support her kids, by working. What’s truly appalling about the shows: the audience, revelling as they do in the pain of others ( or, at the other end of the scale, envious of the mega rich)
These shows are a blight on society. Shame on those who watch them.
