Mar 18 2021

The worst airport gate in America is 35X at Washington National across the rover from D.C. You descend an escalator into a crowded pit with insufficient seating, where you wait to be dispatched into crowded buses that take you across the airport. And your reward for this has been a cramped American Eagle 50 seat regional jet.

On April 20th though 35X will be replaced by an entirely new concourse that supports larger aircraft, features an Admirals Club, as well as upscale dining options.

Trump Supporters Confronted Senator Lindsey Graham At Washington National Airport Today

Jan 08 2021

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, serially defenestrated by Donald Trump for the past four years, is viewed as insufficiently supportive of the President by Trump’s supporters – at least by those who came to DC this week and stormed the Capitol.

The President’s supporters found Lindsey Graham flying American Airlines at Washington’s National airport’s C pier and confronted him as a “liar” and a “traitor” for breaking with Trump’s disputing of the election outcome this week. And one raises the QAnon conspiracy calling him a pedophile.

The worst airport gate in American, Washington National’s gate 35X, is officially put to rest and will no longer cause misery to travelers.

You know the feeling when you run into a co-worker at the airport unexpectedly, you awkwardly try to figure out how much you need to interact. What if you’re heading out on the same flight, do you have to leave the lounge at the same time and walk together? Will they be seated near you on the plane? What if the co-worker is up for the same promotion that you are…. like Senators Sanders and Warren are?

May 10 2019

Elizabeth Warren flew out of the notorious gate 35X at Washington National airport on Thursday evening, taking American’s once-daily flight AA5017 to Charleston, West Virginia. That’s appropriately a single cabin 50 seat regional jet operated by PSA Airlines. And it was delayed an hour and 45 minutes. Before heading down into the Gate 35X she got extra cheese on her &pizza. She then stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts for an iced black tea. Spotted: Elizabeth Warren selfies (and FaceTiming?) at be airport pic.twitter.com/45AWQgFbik — MJ Lee (@mj_lee) May 9, 2019 For the uninitiated you take an escalator down to a holding area with a lack of seating and several doors (sub-gates) where you wait to board a bus that “makes a slow, winding journey across the airport to your plane.” Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown was also…
