At Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport, police opened fire on a white Tesla suspected of illegally picking up passengers, firing eight rounds after the driver refused inspection and tried to flee. The passenger — a Hong Kong woman — was thrown from the moving car and seriously injured as officers disabled the vehicle and arrested the repeat-offender driver.

American Airlines Ends Gate Bag Sizers Monday—Your Too-Big Carry-On Might Suddenly Be Allowed

Starting Monday, American Airlines will pull bag sizers from boarding gates. Instead of the metal frames deciding what fits, gate agents are being told to “use their judgment”—and even to lean in favor of the customer if a bag is close. That means your carry-on, even if a little oversized, might suddenly be waved through.
