Philadelphia Airport Starts Curbside Delivery, Get Airport Restaurant Food To Go

Oct 07 2021

I’ve never once said what I really want for dinner is what they’re serving at the airport. That’s because the constraints of selling food in the airport – bringing everything through security, usually cooking with electricity, lacking storage space, high rents and a need to serve the median consumer taste quickly – means that airport restaurants are bad. And you pay through the nose for the privilege.

Still, at Philadelphia airport they think you might want curbside pickup of your dinner from the airport, and they’re now set up to do just that.

Here’s The Future Of The American Airlines Philadelphia Hub

Aug 28 2021

Brian Znotins, American’s Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, laid out the airline’s vision for Philadelphia – which is many ways is what is was before the pandemic. Even though American will be able to support more transatlantic flying from New York JFK with their JetBlue partnership, Philadelphia will remain their primary connecting gateway to Europe.

And with smaller and more fuel efficient Airbus A321XLRs coming into the fleet they’ll be able to serve summer seasonal Europe destinations year-round – and more destinations than they’ve served in Europe as well.

Two Birds Walk Around The American Airlines Club In Philadelphia

Aug 20 2021

Two birds walk into the Philadelphia airport Admirals Club bar. They sit down and the first bird asks the bartender, “you got any bread?” The Admirals Club bartender replies, “No, sorry.”

The second bird then asks, “Have you got any bread?” And the bartender starts getting angry: “we haven’t got any bread, what do you think this is a Delta Sky Club?”

Four Seasons Philadelphia Hotel Denies They’re Hosting Trump Lawyer Event. Here’s What Happened.

Nov 07 2020

The best part of this has to be the phone call from the Trump campaign advance team, dialing up the Four Seasons in Philadelphia. “Hello, Four Seasons, how can we help you?” “Do you have availability for an event at 11:30 a.m.?” “Yes, we have space available.” “We won’t need catering, would you be willing to do it for a flat $10,000.00?”

American Express Will Begin Re-Opening Lounges October 5, On Track For 5 New And Expanded Clubs

Sep 16 2020

A couple of weeks ago I called on Centurion lounges to open or at least for American Express to speak to its plans for re-opening. They’ve now done so. American Express tells me that on October 5 they will re-open their Philadelphia and Seattle lounges “with more locations to follow.” They’ve also detailed plans for 5 new and expanded lounges.

First Renderings Of The New American Airlines Philadelphia Flagship Lounge

Dec 23 2019

I like the bar and buffet areas more in these renderings than I do American’s other Flagship lounges. It strikes me that wall the main lounge area design is straight from the pallet of the other lounges, the dining room is darker and a bit more modern. In some ways it feels more like a Cathay Pacific lounge in those areas. This could be their most attractive Flagship lounge.

American’s President Wants to Stop Paying Philadelphia Airport Until They Clean Up Filth

American's President Wants to Stop Paying Philadelphia Airport Until They Clean Up Filth
Apr 18 2018

At an employee forum in Philadelphia this week American Airlines President Robert Isom was asked when the airline would work with the city to clean up the Filthadelphia airport?

He noted they pay for “75% of the bills around here… at the end of the day it is not right to be paying that for goods and services that are supposed to be delivered.” Isom committed to “talk to Doug Parker this week, and we’ll figure out how we can get the Mayor and the Airport Director aware of the situation.”
